As Allison Monroe balances work, school and caring for her elderly Gram, she has little time left for herself. Sure, she secretly dreams of a fairytale romance, but she is content living vicariously through her promiscuous, quirky best friend Izzy. However, Izzy has other plans. Intent on finding her friend a man, Izzy drags Ally to a local hockey game. Ally doesn’t know anything about hockey, except for Izzy’s hormone-fueled description of sweaty men in uniforms, but she tries to be a good sport anyway. To Ally’s surprise, she enjoys the fast-paced game and is even more stunned when she collides into star player Benjamin Price, practically knocking him off his skates.

Ben plays for the Red Valley Razors and has everything that Ally does not an exciting career, a multi-million dollar home overlooking the city and, of course, a fast car. Ben opens up an exciting new world for Ally and easily sweeps her off her feet with his boyish good looks and athletic charm. When his contract with the Razors expires and he is offered the chance to play for the best team in the league, which just so happens to be 1300 miles away, Ally risks losing everything. Will they end up on thin ice when life threatens to tear them apart?

With the support of her family and friends, Ally experiences life, love, letting go and discovers that the true meaning of home isn’t necessarily an address.

Home Ice Razors Ice Book 1 edition by Rachelle Vaughn Literature Fiction eBooks

Allison Monroe spends most of her time working and caring for her grandmother. She doesn't have time to meet a man, but as fate would have it she bumps into Hockey player Benjamin Price who is curious about Ally. Ally and Ben begin to build something, but Ben's career takes a lot of travel and trust which Ally fully gives. The problem is when Ben leaves to play for another team, Ally can't uproot her life to go with him, or can she?

This for me was just ho hum. I liked the idea but it was a bit melancholy and not a big fan of Izzy, Ally's best friend. At first the story takes off in a frenetic pace and I wasn't sure who lead was Ally or Izzy. Liked Ben, story had some good moments but was slow.

This was a wonderful story. Full of great characters. They really pull you into the scenes. You grow to love the main characters and wish them a happy ending. Enjoy this author very much.
I gave this story 3/5 stars because although I enjoyed the love story, it was difficult getting into it. I did feel that the relationships between the characters were well developed and the romance between Allison and Ben was sweet.
Well I love these type of stories my latest love are these hockey love stories! Overall the story was good although Ally does seem to act a lot younger than she actually is throughout the book, really got into reading it and then final part of the book and Wham finished, the ending actually left me wanting to know so much more there is no proper ending really either about Ally and Ben or Izzy and Pierce just left me a bit flat after enjoying the story!
The book was okay, but it dragged and it made a person very irritated. It would have been nice to have am epilogue added at the end too. I don't believe I will read the next one as it took everything to finish this one.
I enjoyed this this book alot.

Thought it was going to be the typical jock meets beauty queen and was far from that. The jock turns out to be the son you hope and pray you raise, caring, gentle, compassioniate, athletic all those awesome qualities you hope for. Now there are the jockey jerks in the story too but they add to the dimension of the story line. I will warn you though there are a lot of team jerk moments so keep the tissues handy. Overall a really good story line and easy read. I read the entire book in like 2 hours just could not put it down.
I love sports romance stories. I bought this book based solely on story type. Ben is a great guy, but kind of a wuss. Almost too down to earth for his fame status, so much it was unrealistic. I was really annoyed with the female lead. She couldn't get out of her head. The road blocks the author gave her was minuscule and she freaked out about all of them. This was the first ebook I have purchased that I deleted. It was hard to finish the book because I was so annoyed. Normally I would abandon books like these, but I purchased it and stuck with it.
When I read the description I was excited as I have been reading hockey novels for the past few weeks. Reading this book was very confusing, the author is in many people's minds throughout the story with no warning she changes from Ally's perspective to Ben's to Ally's grandmother. I only made it 38% through the book and I had to abandon it.
